This village house in the Corbières had not had any
work done to it since the early '50s. The kitchen looked as
if it hadn't been cleaned since then. There were two bedrooms and
a toilet on the first floor but there was no bathroom. The
grenier had not been converted.
The owner chose to make one of the existing bedrooms into a bathroom
with a bathtub and a separate shower and to convert the grenier into
two bedrooms. The cheminée and bulkheads were removed
in the kitchen, the original porcelain sink was retained, a tiled
work top was installed and it was painted a lovely French country
yellow. |
